Age: physically eighteen Height: six foot Weight: one hundred eighty pounds Way, way back, near the start of creation, an angel named Lucifel was created along side his twin brother Michael. A prophecy at their birth proclaimed one would herald light, the other darkness, and we all know how that turned out. Lucifer has a long story, but the end result is he is trapped inside a sword, his memories and abilities bound. Nanatsusaya, the seven-bladed demon sword, is trapped in a cave in heaven until the Organic Angel Alexiel steals it. She imprisons the blade to her, telling it she knows his name and will tell him once her war is over, and so Nanatsusaya takes a master when before he had driven anyone who held him insane. But Alexiel's war does not go so well, and when she is captured and punished to live out thousands of horrible lives as a human, the blade separates from itself, and the spirit of Nanatsusaya follows Alexiel throughout her hundreds of lives. Kira Sakuya comes about in this way, when the spirit of Nanatsusaya finds a dying human boy. In exchange for keeping the boy alive and using his body, Nanatsusaya agrees to grant the dying boy's last request: To make his father hate him, so when he finally dies again his father won't grieve. Nanatsusaya agrees, and the boy and the blade join to become Kira Sakuya. Kira has been human for eleven years now. Though he's taken hundreds of human bodies before, it was living Kira Sakuya's life; being bound to a father who he could never make hate him, no matter what he did, and befriending Alexiel's current reincarnation and 'savior', Mudou Setsuna, that taught him to enjoy being human. And though plenty of his demonic side persists, it's quite obviously tempered. Kira is more a delinquent than a criminal, more a thug than a murderer, and more an asshole than a devil. There are sides to Kira that are never seen, as most of his life is an act. A fun act, an enjoyable mask, but not who he truly knows himself to be. Nanatsusaya is a cursed blade, doomed to be held by only one person, doomed to love a woman who will never love him, doomed to die for the only things he cares for hundreds of times over. He has the habit of pushing people away when they come close, and denying his humanity when it becomes hard to bare. But at his heart, Kira has a lot of kindness in him, and will more often help than hinder, though he'll do it in such an offensive way that most people never see his intentions. Kira is taken from the end of his canon, and remembers the volumes spent as Lucifer, but not the details of Lucifer's whole life. He is more at peace with his 'true' identity because of this, and has already accepted that he faces another inevitable death. The universe needs a Lucifer, after all, and Kira Sakuya was never anything but a cursed sword and a short lived human. For now, though, he's enjoying his second shot at life. He's a bit kinder to his friends, a bit more willing to meet and get involved with new people, if not attached to them. He's more careful to spend time with the ghost of Kira Sakuya, to whom he owes all the happiness he's found in these past years and who was kind enough to lend his body again. In camp, Kira lives in the Boy's Cabin 10, and has been adopted into their perverse little family. He can frequently be found in the library, where he smokes to annoy the angel that runs it, or sitting about camp shooting zombies for fun. All in all Kira doesn't have much in the way of hobbies outside of reading, but his interests are all in humanity, and if he has time to waste he'll usually find a casual way to waste it with them. |
